ABOUT SERCAN & ZEYNEP
At their first appearance in the Netherlands, at Focus Tango Festival in 2022, they left an unforgettable impression and we feel blessed to announce that Sercan Yigit and Zeynep Aktar are coming back.
Take your chance to improve your dance and learn from this fantastic couple from Istanbul. They have been teaching and performing at the biggest events in, for example, Belgrade, Budapest, Bratislava and in more than 30 cities around the world like Paris, Brussels, London, Vienna, Bologna, Warsaw and Prague. They master both roles, are great teachers and two of the kindest individuals around.
Both in their dance and their lifestyle, as a couple Sercan and Zeynep have a distinctive point of view embracing communication and innovation, always reminding the lively, respiring “human touch” of the tango dance.
Sercan has been into music since he was 15 years old. With this musical background, knowledge and experience, he can seamlessly fuse tango music into his dance. This also gives him the ability of transposing a unique musicality experience to his students.
Zeynep graduated from English Literature and Language at the Bosphorus University. She had been performing theatre for four years before dedicating herself to tango. She has taken the stage many times. By means of firing up her devotion to teaching with all this know-how, Zeynep developed an exceptional style of communication with her students during classes.
